Comfort classes on OBB Nightjet: With in the OBB Nightjet trains you will experience what is to have a hotel on wheels. Sleeping well as you travel on will guarantee that you reach your destination rested and refreshed. You have three comfort categories: Regular or Deluxe sleeper compartments, the Couchette car when travelling in large groups and the Reclining seats, a seated car with compartments with 6 seats or roomy open-saloon cars with reclining seats. Single, Double or Three-Bed compartments:
These options offers room for up to three people travelling together in one compartment. Confort an hotel like services ensure a pleasant and comfortable journey, even when the waggon is fully booked. These include beds whose height can be adjusted, with improved access, non-slip floors, large, illuminated mirrors, handles and an extra folding seat (only in the Deluxe compartment) and even an individual wake-up call. If you would like even more space and comfort, you can convert two adjacent compartments into a suite for up to six passengers by means of a combining door (requestingt 6 tickets in a T3 option). You can combine two Economy compartments or one Economy and one Deluxe compartment. Please note that all passengers have to have a 1st class ticket if you book a combination of Deluxe and Economy. Deluxe options will have a private bathroom and toilet. Regular options will have shared bathrooms, washing basins and toilet facilities located in each car.

Seats will have outlet power points and specially designated areas provide interference-free mobile reception for mobile phones. Look out for the mobile phone symbols in the carriages.

Quiet zones are reserved for passengers who want to travel in peace. Experience the feeling of being personally attended to in 1st class. Our specially designated staff are there to welcome you with a smile and help you with any questions you may have regarding your trip.

The Couchette car
Couchette cars are ideal for bigger groups and families since it is price saving. Each compartment has room for up to 6 people. You can book individual berths or an entire compartment, keeping in mind that when you book, for example, 4 seats in a T6 cabin it is possible that the other 2 seats will be purchased by another travelers. When you book an individual berth, the compartment is shared with others travellers. There is no division by sex, but rest asured, OBB Nightjet provides a safe enviroment for their travellers and those cabins are just like when you travel by plane and share the plane with everyone else.

2nd Class seated car - Travel overnight at low fare
The seated car is the cheapest comfort class on OBB Nightjet. It´s seat configuration resembles a plane, but more confortable.

Washing and toilet facilities are located in each car.

Day Time Trains from Zurich to London by High Speed Trains

The railjet is a new high-speed ÖBB (Austrian Railways) train which was introduced with the change of timetable in 2008/9 and reaches speeds of 230 km/h (143 mph). The first route Munich – Vienna - Budapest has been in operation since December 2008, with the second route Vienna – Salzburg - Zurich following in December 2009. On completion of the current track improvement works, a journey time of 2 hours 15 minutes between Salzburg and Vienna is planned.

    The Zurich Main Station is one of the busiest train stations in the world. Its central location provides access to trains traveling to Spain, France, Italy, Austria, Germany and beyond.     Transportation from the the Zurich Main Train Station:

    Zurich Main Station offers direct connections from many cities throughout Switzerland as well as frequent service to the airport. Trains operate every 10-15 minutes with a total travel time of only 11 minutes from the city center to the airport

    • When you reach your destination, an SNCF staff member will meet you and take you to your meeting point in the station. If you’re changing trains, he'll help you board your new train.

    London St Pancras International Station: The station recently underwent some renovation, making it the  modern world class terminal for Eurostar and domestic rail services it is today. The station is quickly becoming a  destination in itself, providing excellent connections to the rest of London and the UK, as well as Europe's longest champagne bar. The entire area around St. Pancras is currently the focus of a vast regeneration program with new facilities, hotels and attractions being developed. One of the main advantages of the move is that, by using the new high-speed track, journey times between London and the Continent have been  reduced by  20 minutes. And as you know, when you're on vacation, you need to make every minute count!

    London King's Cross railway station: King's Cross is the southern terminus of the East Coast Main Line, providing high speed inter-city services to Yorkshire, the North East and Scotland. Virgin Trains East Coast is the main inter-city operator with destinations including Leeds, Newcastle and Edinburgh. Other inter-city operators serving the station include Hull Trains and Grand Central. King's Cross is also a terminus for Great Northern which provides commuter services to North London, Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and Norfolk.     We’ll set up a ramp for you and one of our team will help you board the train and get you settled comfortably. It’s a good idea to arrive at the station at least 45 minutes before departure to give you plenty of time, and let a member of our team know you’d like a helping hand.

    If you have restricted mobility and need a little help walking but you’re not confined to a wheelchair, we’ll be happy to arrange assistance for you to get to the platform, on the train and off again at your destination. You don’t have to arrange this in advance. Just ask at Eurostar ticket desk when you arrive at the station – we’ll take care of everything for you.

    Rail services are now far more accessible than they were in the past and many disabled people are able to use the rail network without assistance.

    We will always do our best to help disabled passengers that need assistance, but if you need help when travelling by rail, it is best to book assistance in advance so that we can ensure that any help you may need is provided.

    In particular, we would recommend that you book assistance if you:

    • Have a mobility or other disability that means you find getting on and off trains difficult;
    • Are a wheelchair user (on most services you will need to use a boarding ramp and, on some services reserve a wheelchair space on the train service you wish to use);
    • Are a mobility scooter user (there are restrictions on different train operators which need to be checked, a boarding ramp will be required and possibly a reservation for the space onboard).
    • Have a sight impairment and need guiding around a station or help boarding and alighting from your train;
    • Have difficulty walking long distances – at some stations we can provide a station wheelchair or, at some larger stations, access to an electric buggy.

    We recommend that you book help 24 hours before you travel. This enables us to: give you as much information as possible before your travel; make alternative arrangements for you if the station is not step free or not staffed at the time you wish to travel; and ensure that there are enough staff for all the assistance requests at a station.
