Dining Service

Usually dining car service is provided on international trains in Europe, but only at "normal" meal time, except for trains equipped with bar cars where light meals can be served at any time.

There are different types of food service available:

Restaurant car: Meals served in a separate restaurant car.

Dining at your seat: this service is found on many French trains, especially on TGVs.

Bar car: Sandwiches, snacks, beverages can be obtained in the bar car or sometimes are served at your seat.

Food Trolleys: which pass through the aisles, so travelers can get something light without leaving their seat.
